You would think so, but almost every totalitarian state out there has been an exercise in backwardness.


I think that's because there have been few (any?) capitalist totalitarian societies. In that respect, Cina is an interesting experiment... and one that seems pretty successful so far.

Government has once again become the solution rather than the problem. Oh well, guess we'll give socialism another shot.
