Open up the reserves if you have to.

The reserves are much to small to make a difference. They are for the military when things are much much worse then now. Like when a foriegn power blockades our oil supply. So leave the reserves alone.

Bush between rock and hard place. Rt wing hates fannie and freddie because of perceived democratic party bias but also hate the conept of outright govt ownership.

Not really.....FRE and FNM are hurting GOPers where they don't like it....in their wallets. Bush just couldn't jump too quickly. Of course Bush doesn't understand what he's doing.....I am sure they have notes prepared for him that he can follow.

Truth be told fannie and freddie fucked up.

How so?

Their stockholders pay the price. Govt takes over f&f and renames them. American people share in profits a few years down the road. Taxpayers vs Investors. Is anything public on what bush said? Now lets get oil busted this weekend. Open up the reserves if you have to. Something public and grand would be nice.

I think I might buy some FRE for the trade.
