hello pezz, today's report:

(1) counted my winnings at 4:30am
(2) feared potential give-backs at 5:00am
(3) had 6:30am con-call with partners via skype
(4) did strawberries, black berries, and rasberries and double cream for breakfast, along with iced chocolate milk at 7:30am
(5) camped out in secret hideaway near home to read in quiet, contemplate the ways, and schemed for and on behalf of paying client, to achieve global domination of a part of the solar energy arena, maybe, and aggregate a lot of moolah, perhaps
(6) was interrupted by one phone call regarding coal contracting and shipment
(7) arranged to have made some arrangement for two trinidad cousins of mine to use one lane of a competition pool in hk for 2 hours per day over five days between july 29 and august 2nd to practice before they go on to beijing to compete. if you remember, george bovell won the bronze 200m im in athens 2004, as well as the gold for the pan american games. this time george and his brother nicholas will compete. may the force be with them both
(8) phoned niece in russia, ascertained that she would be anchoring for russian sports tv in beijing during the beijing olympics. she was the world champion triple jumper 1993-95. we should be able to organize a dinner of champions at some point
(9) tidied up arrangements for wife and daughter to camp out in beijing for entirety of august
(10) enjoyed reflexology in the mid-afternoon
(11) fell into deep nap
(12) did dinner with in-laws
(13) now readying for another dvd session
(14) will do pretty much the same again tomorrow, less above items (1) through (3), (6) through (10).

on the market
- at some juncture will have to put on some shorts against oil, but am not sure at what level as yet; maybe they will be foolish enough to attack persia, and if so, that would be as good time as any to short oil;

- at some juncture will also have to short skf or buy puts, but hopefully after my skf already in hand is called away;

- gold? yeah, could, but neah, why short it? it's a bull market, so just ride and not be cute and have wick handed to self, quivering, sashimi style.

chugs, tj

p.s. do you have a better feel yet about whether mccain or obama will become the next chief wastrel decider?

hello pezz, tonight's report:

(i) it looks like your fsys trade is working out. congrats.

(ii) i think the share market ought to go down, more, a lot more; but i think i understand why it is going up and may continue to so for a while.

just as i figure gold ought to be rising, a lot, soon, but comprehend why it is teasing. i do not know where gold will be at in a little while. i feel pretty sure that gold price will not sit still. i am however neither comfortable to short naked call nor buy call/put.

(iii) i felt like doing something, but was of two minds, and so did the next best thing, and that was the following:

- bought gold double short finance.yahoo.com @ 24.30
- then, after a bit of hesitation, bought dzz's mirror image, dgp finance.yahoo.com @ 25.018

the net effect on the portfolio will be nil immediately and for a while, as gold and anti-gold nets out to zero.

i am happy with this state of happening, until the gap between the two states of matter widens, and does so considerably.

(iv) if you remember, i tried this game before, when i was equally unsure which way the gold would turn at the next corner, but misplayed it even though it was a marginally profitable experiment:

step #1: Message 24358807
step #2: Message 24421243
step #3: Message 24563001

... i was impatient last time, and should have sold the double short at 30 and bought double long at 20 as step #2.

i aim to do better this round.

what else is there to do that is historically relevant and socially righteous, for tonight, before i go to sleep, now that i had taunted blazimwick already about his particularly ill timed and poorly played hole-ly short against freddie after all the big boyz had roughed it up horribly and left it for dead.
