7/18/08 update
The Bulls finally won a round and at Friday's close the Nasdaq Composite Index was down -13.93% YTD (vs. -15.58% YTD a week ago). Plus our phenomenal Nasdaq Biotech Index managed to get in the black for the year, closing the week up 1.57% YTD (vs. down -.38% YTD a week ago). The Contest portfolio median also gained for the week, closing down -7.23% YTD (vs. down -9.65% YTD a week ago).
At week's end, 9 of the 33 Contest portfolios were in the black YTD with 8 of the portfolios beating the NBI. GENE's portfolio remained in first place, closing the week with an incredible 95.8% YTD gain and ROBERT's portfolio held on to second place with a not-too-shabby 34.8% YTD gain.
Have a wonderful weekend folks!
