Leftist politicians are stuck with their outdated talking points. My prediction - they are desperately searching for a politically palatable way to turn around.... and become proactive drillers. This will happen soon. Fighting against the interests of voters does not pay political dividends. By the same token, expect the Right to embrace alternative energy and fuel economy. These views may seem somewhat contrarian at this time, but bringing aboard a few billion barrels here, a few there... will not meet our longer term needs. Currently the world is gong through over 87 million barrels every single day, and the growth in demand is unlikely to slow down for very long.
