PBR rig workers at Campos will strike for 5 days. Cut 7,5 million barrels plus 22 million M3 of gas.

The case:

They work 14 days offshore on the rigs and rest for 21.

The 15th day -when the helicopter comes to pick them up- they want to be paid as working day. Last year, they claim, PBR agreed to pay the 15th day, but failed to do so till now and they are threatening to strike.

PBR asked them to keep at least a minimum production (they will cut 80% of the whole country's production) but roghnecks disagreed.

If PBR take a crew (who break the strike) to the rigs, they will ask to leave immediately. If PBR keeps them in the rigs, (there are 42 of them) refusing to taking them to land, they will cry 'private incarceration', which carries penalty akin to kidnapping according to Brazilian law.

It might go one way, but then again, if the trend reverses, one needs to be quick on one's feet. Not ready to jump in, not ready to jump out. Need confirmation, but the signs are beginning to align. Stay tuned. There could be something definite but then again, it might be best to hold off until the 90-day average is penetrated. Either way. Then act quickly to capitalize on the developing momentum, unless the beta quotient vaporizes.
