Fire is an easy weapon of anyone who is nuts.

While I don't doubt the dry conditions, I do wonder if some of the fires are started deliberately.

Remember the fires in Florida early last spring.

These were started by a human----------he was finally caught---my nephew owns a house there and was ready to bust the swimming pool to flood the property if the house was endangered-----one fire would be controlled and then another would start.

From the news, I would think it would be more than 2,000 houses-------as the media makes it sound like all of California is on fire.

"California is frequently hit by scorching wildfires due to its dry climate, Santa Ana winds and recent housing booms which have seen housing spread rapidly into rural and densely forested areas."

The reason cited above is also what we see when farm land in Virginia is turned into housing developments-------storms and tornadoes existed before the housing developments-----now people have homes in those areas where before it was wild.
