Because he's a ornery and miserable human being who only cares about himself and his wealth. What do you base this attack on? That he is wealthy? That and the fact he is Republican. Of course that's what you expect/want to hear. The reality is Pickens is one of two major financiers to back the swiftboaters in 2004. Why would I trust or respect someone who uses his money in that fashion? Do you? And then there his wife who spent $250K to fly some homeless dogs from NO to SFO after Katrina. Meanwhile, there were people, not dogs, who could have used the financial help. Frankly, your icons leave a lot to be desired.
