New Yorkers are great fun and great friends.

Have several friends now in Virginia who grew up in Brooklyn. They truly talk so fast that I have to slow them down----and I talk fast by Virginia standards.

New York and New Yorkers have an energy level that is to be envied.

Some Virginia friends have New York City withdrawal symtoms when they come here and are forced to slow down in pace.

While visiting a beach resort in NC a few yrs ago, I entered a small shop with an older woman at the counter. After asking her a few questions about the merchandise, she said "you're not from NY, are you dear?"...when I replied "No"...she said "I thought not." So I inquired further(wondering why she asked the question) she said "well, New Yorkers are usually in such a hurry, you'd never know they were on vacation.<g>
