Working. Sorry. But I had a wonderful job. I was on an inventory project for forest resources. We'd move in to a county and in a month we would know that county better than people who had lived there all their lives. I still remember a fellow who ran a motel in Gloversville. His name was Bill Mickituk, (not sure if I remember the spelling correctly) and he had been a member of the Czech underground in WW-II. You could see bullet holes on his skin. There were wonderful country inns all around in those days. We preferred them and chose them to stay at whenever possible. Now I'm sure they would be way outside our per diem budget (which was $10 a day).
