Back in the early to mid '70s, I had a great deal of trouble understanding why my father was hoping for very rough inflationary or deflationary times - it seemed so counter productive at the very least.

But now I understand that what he was driving at is that "fiscal and monetary policy out of control coupled with wars" etc. area, and how so few really get it and how so many allow it to continue by omission and just plain zero understanding.

Maybe this time, the banksters etc. will go too far for too long and a majority will actually be forced to look at the real facts... and I'm not holding my breath.

At least we have no lack of "mental" people. <g>
