Lying was the least of Nixon's flaws. He had a gigantic chip on his shoulder, and was almost, if not actually, clinically paranoid. Why did he feel he had to burgle the DNC offices and do all the other crimes he commissioned? He beat McGovern by a MILE. The election was NEVER in doubt. McGovern carried ONE state, MA.

Everything Nixon did that got him in trouble was totally unneccessary.
