To me it feels worse than a recession. More like what a depression would have felt early on in the 20s. Banks going bankrupt, people going bankrupt losing their homes. And now food prices. To a person food and home are the most critical. Once those go down the tube, he goes down the tube.

Agreed. Like computing the current CPI minus food and energy. That would give a precise measure of inflation. Right....
