are we not glad we just stayed long and very long in gold

Ecstatic.

It is wonderful to see the nearly identical gains of DGP and IAU while knowing that DGP cost me 1/2 the equivalent of IAU.

Wonderful to know that IAU has my share of the physical bullion collecting dust in a London vault. But I do keep a hawk's eye on DGP.

As usual with respect to ultrashorts, I made a mistake with my sale of SRS at 108, though I kept about a third of the position. I thought surely the bailout would not be good for it but it seems thus far that the market has seen through the gambit.

Noted that Rogers has said the bailout is an unmitigated disaster.

I don't think $15 bn is nearly enough. There will undoubtedly be more required.

All this at the expense of the Great Middle - the US taxpayers - who paid for the unholy enrichment of the Wall St. scamsters. Makes me almost physically ill to think about how so many good people are getting a financial laxative courtesy of the ones they elected to have their best interests in mind.

Now, it's time to see if I want to put some DOG next to my COW.
