Those who actually subscribe to the New Yorker are smart and hip.
The problem is the press that it's getting. That brings the cover into the houses that contain bigots and generally dumb people.

I do agree that this attempt at satire will not work--at least for most people. It will be interesting to see if they attempt one on McCain
