There is something about self delusion that I oppose. We cannot 'drill' ourselves out of the problem. So when you went to business school did you skip class on the day covered the supply side of supply and demand? Of course we can add to the the supply by drilling and we can work on the demand side through alternatives and conservation. Are you opposed to solving the problem quickly? In this particular case the government has already raised CAFE standards but are a gate to further exploration. You're the one presenting the wedge issue by not seeing that government does have a card it could play now.
