you mean, pressure within the financial industry, as well as government offices, not to undermine the credibility of the current fiat dollar, by drawing attention to the possible (or probable) utility of gold as a backstop to financial instability, in ones own portfolio?

Seems like the dishonesty in our system is widespread...ie, we lie about cpi, gdp,employment numbers and who knows what else, as a matter of public policy....interesting to reflect on what this would mean in the context of a private business? ie, jail time. At the company where I work, we are required to take an annual review of business conduct, and honesty is near the top of the list of requirements.

If honesty is required in order to think properly, ie, to recognize the facts of reality and incorporate these into an accurate thought process, then we are systematically destroying our ability to think...and therefore, to function in the world.
