Tommaso in your opinion it makes good sense that commercial banks in various countries around the world should go belly up because they hold substantial amounts of GSE debenture and there will be no counter party to clear financial transaction? That most pension funds will loose substantial amounts of working people savings ? That people world over should loose their trust in any financial institution and there should be a run on all financial institution? That the trust in the US Government will evaporate in thin air giving rise to all kind of extremist and non democratic extremist regimes and the rise of the likes like Putin not to mention more darker types? I think you are childish and highly irresponsible did you forgot history and what happen in Japan and Europe after severe economic hardship 80 or so years ago? If people would be able to manage their conduct and behavior in an orderly fashion we would not need governments - fact is that the world order it not so and in regard to Jimmy Rogers some times some one too smart is outright stupid, blinded by his own greed and desire of revenge Keep in mind that horses left the barn and now is time to save what ever we can and this unwinding the leverage in an orderly maner and not generating unnecessary pain to honest hard working people to gratify only few - even if they are right Few millennia ago some one coined the phrase that democracy will die form to much democracy – today same apply to free markets – free market will stop functioning form to much freedom – more so if all kind of shadowy characters and sovereign funds will use the free markets to undermine other countries economies – which action Mr. Putin and other of his ilk are actively pursuing In summary I would suggest to you to read the Lenin doctrine of how to “defeat” capitalism and conquer the world, or may be you would like to move Siberia to live there happily ever after <GGG>
