Such is the case with the recent raising of outlooks by firms that run pawn shops and payday loan businesses. The housing crisis and slowing economy have put many consumers in a bind, and tighter lending standards along with dropping home prices have closed off many avenues of credit. As a result, so-called lenders of last resort are seeing booming business.

This is just a start, $19.1 billion hot money exited from China in June. My guess is that at least half trillion of China's 1.7 trillion or so foreign reserves are Hot Money.
