Again, this is the test for satire:

"In a cowardly statement, the magazine's leaders said the cover was designed "to hold up a mirror to prejudice, the hateful, and the absurd."

Problem is, satire, by its definition is a work that "holds up human vices and follies to ridicule or scorn." "Trenchant wit, irony or sarcasm," according to Webster's, are required to expose or discredit... blah, blah, blah."


And this cover failed that test.
