So sorry for your loss. Having to put my yellow lab down was the hardest decision of my life. The right one, but difficult none the less. I won't own any more dogs for that reason. I don't want to make that choice again. It's really not much different then deciding to put a child down.

At least you have video's and pictures to remember your Terra from.

I'd like to express my sympathy. I also know how it can feel, losing your "best friend".

We had a Sheltie who developed cancer of the mouth. We had to put him down after a long battle with the disease. We decided that we couldn't let him go to the vet that last time alone, so we held him and petted him while the vet administered the lethal dose. It was heart-wrenching.

That was 6 years ago. I think I'm finally ready to get another one, but my wife hasn't reached that point yet.

Best wishes,

I2

Add my name to the list of those that lost their best friend years ago and haven't tried to replace him. I see I am not the only one, tho sometimes I thought I was. Dogs truly are man's(and sometimes woman's) best friend. All the best to you.

So sorry for your loss cheeky...Terra looks like she was a nice dog.

It took me 25 yrs to replace my Fred with another dog. I'm glad I did, Didn't know how much I missed having one till I did.
