Energy is freedom, but energy based solely on OIL is NOT.

No one here is preaching reliance on oil so get off the soap box. No doubt either that high oil prices are stimulating alternate energy sources and that the high price of oil may indeed be necessary to continue weaning ourselves off oil.

I don't believe in subsidizing alternate energy, I believe in market driven technologies......

But where has the congress been? At this point even if they made advances in battery powered cars, since the dems in congress have been dragging their feet on building any new nuke plants for decades now, we probably don't have the energy infrastructure to support it.....
