Rightwing politics are definitely a huge factor in the surge in the national debt, the decline of the dollar and high oil prices. You cannot ignore the fact that Republicans controlled the White House for the past 7 years and Congress for 6 of the past 7 years.

The oil gouging by the oil industry is real. One third of the price is real. One third gouging and cheating by the oil thieves. One third the dismal drop in the Bush dollar. Put them all together and we have $5 gasoline.

If Bush suddenly charged the big oil CEO's with treason and vowed to put them in prison gasoline prices would drop $1 over night. But Bush can't and won't because he's one of them. The main crook in fact.
