>Clinton was OBVIOUSLY guilty of perjury...he was never convicted for it...a claim I never made (conviction)...

Clinton was baited into a perjury charge. He was foolish enough not to decline responding to irrelevant lascivious questions irrelevant questions. His downfall was he believed he could wiggle around the question with technicalities in the English Language.

In comparision to the crimes of the Bush ilk, Clinton is a veritable angel. Of course, scumbags like jl will deflect attention from the transgressions of the amoral Bush crowd through focusing on the minor foibles of Clinton. Shame shame.

I don't hear you bantering about McBush's tax evasion, marital infidelity or flip flopping on the torture issue. How partisan of you to ignore those. McBush will be another useful idiot for your type. "He's an idiot, but he's OUR idiot."

U.S. District Court Judge Susan Webber Wright's office issued the fine Thursday. She had held the president in contempt of court in April, ruling that Clinton intentionally gave false testimony during his deposition in Jones' suit.

Clinton did not elect to fight the ruling, agreeing instead to pay the court $1,202 for expenses associated with a deposition and for "reasonable costs incurred by plaintiffs" as a result of his actions.

Well, partisans on the other side believe Bush is just as guilty of plenty of stuff: war crimes, lying to the public, breaking national security laws, etc. Funny thing is, he's not guilty of any of those crimes until he's convicted.

Measuring the impact and breadth of their scumbagness, Bush wins hands down. Clinton hurt his credibility, but Bush hurt the nation - and thousands are dead, maimed, out of work, and hopeless as a result.

The only good news is January 2009 is approaching - not quick enough, but getting here.
