And even if it gets a larger percentage of the average guys cash than 3% indicates, what it does is restrict purchases of items other than necessities, thus forcing prices down. I am not sure deflation wont be bigger problem than inflation as demand destruction occurs. Also there is little or no wage inflation so inflation is almost unsustainable.

You are not thinking globally.

And gasoline? There is nothing else in the world that effects the price of everything else. And increasingly supply will meet less and less of demand.
