For any blocking of radiation and reback radiation for a trace gas of molar content like CO2, the density of the blocking is always higher looking back to earth than out to space.

Convection greatly amplified by H20 transports energy very efficiently to the upper troposphere and then all greenhouse gases are far denser looking back to earth than looking toward space.

CO2 is just protons and neutrons and electrons and has no magic properties beyond it trace component in the atmosphere.
