"The best way to stop being fat is to put actual food in the mouth, and not too much of it. And walk the 10km to work. Or run. Maybe walk to work and run home. Walk contemplatively. Run for fun and enjoy a nice shower and a delicious meal of rice, lots of vegetables, sultanas, an egg mixed in, maybe with some salmon."

I think you're advocating satisfaction. If everyone was completely satisfied with their body image, car, job and material wealth civilization as we know it would cease to exist. Western society is built on being dissatisfied. Lawyers make a lot of money splitting up material assets from people dissatisfied with themselves and their spouses. Lawyers would be hard pressed to make a living pumping gas. I appreciate your helpful tips but advocating satisfaction is dangerous territory. Do you think Mick is ever satisfied? I think not. A hey, hey, hey, that's what I say...

When we arrived here in Canberra in September there was new construction just being completed all over the place. There doesn't seem to be a lot in progress about to replace it. I've also noticed a couple of empty office/retail spaces for rent. But apartments for sale seem to continue to being getting sold fairly rapidly. That's the extent of noticing a slowdown here yet... Fruit and veg prices were down steeply last weekend. Petrol is now 170-174 cents a litre. And I've noticed coffee both ground and liquid has gone up in price since we've been here.
