I had a rather strange thing happen over the weekend. By accident I called an old friend on my cell phone who I hadn’t talked to in months, but after he answered I asked him how he was doing. He went on to say his mom was in the hospital and wasn’t expected to live long. I had known the whole family since I was a kid. I immediately left for the hospital and he and I arrived in the parking lot within 10 seconds of each other coming from opposite directions. His mom was unconscious, but the visit meant a lot to my friend and after we left she died that night. I didn’t tell my friend that I had actually been trying to call someone else, but as it happened providence brought us together to see his mom for the last time. When things like this happen I can’t help but believe forces are at work. * * *
