First of all there is only decreased demand in the US not in Europe or other countries. The whole thing is a joke. You can safely discount 2 things:

First when you read ANYTHING talking about demand destruction affecting the price of oil you can discount this IF it is only talking about the USA.

You can discount anything any politician says which makes the MSM

Gas down 17c and NG down 50c. Signal on the economy or just noise.
