Good post. Mitt would add to McCain's team. Or any businessman that knows how to lose and make money. The dems current plan is just say "no" and try to create they illusion their plan is better, the fact they don;t have a plan will not be mentioned in the media. You can talk to your neighbors and see how successful the talking points have been sold through the evening news and their local paper.

I mentioned on another thread before we do anything I think it needs to be resolved why we need to get off of gasoline, as to me, it's a key factor that determines the best solution.

1) global warming

2) Middle East revenue

3) high cost of fuel

4) we're running out

Using food for fuel has been proven a nonstarter.

If it's pollution, then we're wasting our time until all countries match our current pollution standards.

If it's the Middle East revenue, then let's go get our own.

If it's the high cost, then taxing gasoline more to encourage conservation to create supply to drive the price lower is about as silly as Obama saying he isn't going to raise taxes because he is only going to raise taxes on the rich.

I see no reason to waste any time or money creating a substitute that costs more that might equal what we already have sitting in the ground waiting on us to get.

What else is oil good for? Why save it?

Think the ethanol/biofuel group has discovered a substitute for fertilizer which comes from petroleum?
