I agree with you Z. All the major war pimps had their own reasons to invade Iraq. It was a perfect storm of reasons all pointing to "invade". None of those reasons involved the security or best interests of Americans in general. Bush to finish Poppy's job and show him up. Answer all the critics he'd been hearing say "WHY didn't he go on to Baghdad and GET SADDAM?" for eight years. The neocons to test their wack theories and, yes, for Israel. Many of them were committed Zionists. Rumsfeld to test HIS wack theories and prove the Powell doctrine wrong. Cheney to get lots of work for his former corporation, cronies and to secure Iraq's oil for his friends. The military just to have a war. It's what they do.
