Snow, you'd better tell China and India this.... hate it too. Cheap energy and rampant consumption was fun, but now we're in a totally different cycle... And if you think that we've seen anything yet....just wait. GM is going to announce huge layoffs this week....the travel industry is already failing... people in small tourist towns need people and people to buy what they are selling, and have neither right now... and all the domino-like etc's.... can't get to work or layoffs from work > no money to buy necessities for families > no money to pay for family medical treatments > farmers won't be doing well because people can't afford their products > of course people can't go on vacations > will kids be able to go to college if everyone is out of work? > Then all the secondary people, and third tier people can't sell their goods or services so they can't afford anything either.... Pretty soon, we've got a REAL problem on our hands.... Personally, I think the pie can get bigger, but most of the Dems are thinking it should get smaller.... Mistake. BIG Mistake. But then, I know you know that.
