I vote we continue using oil until we run out. The adventure capitalists will risk the monies to fund alternative research, and the best alternative will be there when the oil is gone, and those adventure capitalists will be rewarded as they should. The govt being involved will be a disaster as most govt run operations are today. The world's population continues to grow, the economies of the world must grow to satisfy human necessities. Conservation and recycling isn't going to grow diddly-squat.
