Hi Jack,

That's a long time between posts!

My misjudgements re "Altris" paralleled yours.....loving their customer list, technology, and being encouraged by the quality of the customer wins they did manage to snag once in awhile. While I didn't buy nearly as much as you I did commit way too many dollars to this sad case. Now that it's over on the Pinks I can't detect any volume of shares traded at all. Are they going to take this private or is there any chance for the shares still on the books?

Hi Jack,

Good to hear from you again. Yes I remember your posts from back in the old days. It's just over ten years now that Altris got kicked of the NAZ and Jay Tanna went. I knew this co very well back then, but I never knew who was really responsible for the fiasco. My best guess is that it was something that had been going on from at least the Stephen Gardiner years, but only came to light when Tanna was negotiating a merger with OpenText(?). I knew that Tanna was not popular in the US office and that some were looking for an opportunity to get him out. That's not to absolve Tanna of all the blame, but I believe there were other factors. The amazing thing is that John Low is still there!

Yes, it's a shame that the successors were not able to get it back on track. I do think that it had the potential, but there have been an awful lot of shake-ups in the software industry since then.

It looks to me as if they haven't really traded since they've been on the pink sheets. The spread has been enormous, with no one wanting to sell at those prices.
