If you are as smart as you claim you are, that bit of news should have been in-your-face obvious. Instead, you voted for him...TWICE. Why? Because he was a Republican.

Geez.

He was running against Al Gore the first time and John Kerry the second.

If the Dems ran a credible candidate, I would have no problem voting for him/her. Just consider Al Gore today -- the man is an absolute lunatic. Look at Kerry, who, after his time in Vietnam, essentially became a traitor. And now, the Dems run the most liberal Senator who has absolutely NO relevant experience for the presidency.

McCain was not the best choice this year for the Republicans. But at least he is a credible candidate; Obama is not.

If the Dems start running reasonable candidates, I have no problem with voting for one (and have voted for some Dems in recent elections). But as long as you are running McGovern extremists, you're going to continue to lose elections.
