Was that the press conf where GW was asked why he doesn't tell Americans to cut back on gas consumption?..Geo replied the American public is smart enough to make their own consumer decisions. The answer highlighted one of the major differences between him and Obama. The latter has warned he will expect sacrifices from his serfs in the way of colder houses, less travel and less food available on grocery store shelves. Sounds like Russia prior to the collapse of the USSR...they were only allowed large quantities of vodka so they were too drunk to shoot the Communists.
