Depends on what's written in their 'zero tolerance policy' I'd say... since it would be even WORSE to have a so-called 'policy' that was subject to the arbitrary whims of administrators, then it would be even to have an overly 'strict' one.

(And, last I checked... handing out *prescription strength* medicine without a license, or even carrying the pills around without the original label, is a federal felony.)

Whether that *should be* a felony or not may be up to discussion... but I don't see many people arguing that 'school administrators should have the right to ignore felonies enacted right under their noses'.... <g>
