>>>Polar caps on Mars have melted a great deal so bad science says it is due to people on Earth driving around SUVs....

Do you have a reference for this bad science? It would be interesting reading.

"Polar caps on Mars have melted a great deal so bad science says it is due to people on Earth driving around SUVs rather than the sun putting out more energy. The clueless who try and explain it say 'I see the polar cap on Earth shrinking too so it must PROVE man's CO2 is responsible.'"

The Web sites below are good places to find out what climate scientists are saying. If you can find an example of them saying that human CO2 production caused ice to melt on Mars, I will be VERY surprised.

realclimate.org

ipcc.ch

The "clueless" talk as if climate changes can only be natural or human caused, but not both. In reality there is no law of physics that says natural causes and human causes can't both exist. As an engineer this should be obvious to you.

Thanks for posting useful information. I believe the data shows that all planets in our solar system are getting warmer. How Dick Cheney and Halliburton managed to pull this off is still a mystery.

Here, for example, is an article from Realclimate.org in which the author, rather than saying the Earth's polar ice melt proves anthropogenic global warming, instead describes it as climatically unimportant:

realclimate.org

"So why do stories about an geographically special, but climatically unimportant, single point traditionally associated with a christianized pagan gift-giving festival garner more attention than long term statistics concerning ill-defined regions of the planet where very few people live?"

It's easy to refute the shallow ramblings of media people and the politicians, but when you look at what climate scientists are really saying, it's not so easy.
