I think I've mentioned conservation like a hundred times now and alternatives as well - what you seem to fail to grasp is the oil reserves are unknown in 40% of the USA i.e. ANWR and the OCS and the oil will not dry up on it's own.

In a down economy with oil at $140 a barrel there are thousands of jobs waiting to be created by expanding exploration, rig build etc - are you opposed to job creation as well as it won't solve the economic problems?

but don't mention a savings account or other investments

Odd - that's the democrat plan, spend our strategic reserves for a few good days and hope something happens. Then after the binge we'll be right back where we are today and without any savings. That's so much smarter than trying to find and develop more sources of oil while the Government both collects a check for leases and future revenues. Only a democrat could figure out how to turn profits into an ongoing loss.

Do you borrow from your 401K as well?
