Yep. Soros sure did. Runs are usually orchestrated in pegged
currencies of smaller countries. In case of USD, it's a run
from US assets, losses and fear of more losses could drive it.
For foreigners all US assets including bonds are showing
losses. Something like a credit downgrade of sovereign rating
usually starts the spontaneous avalanche, in case of USA its
widely held Fannie and Freddie debt that creates the risk.
