Who is the real Sen. Obama? By DAN SERNOFFSKY Lebanon Daily News
Who is the puppetmaster? Who’s pulling the strings? In six weeks, the Democrat Party, a political party which likes to call itself “the party of the people,” is expected to officially place in nomination the name of Barrack Hussein Obama as its candidate for the presidency of the United States.
The question waiting to be answered is who Barrack Hussein Obama really is.
Based on what has happened since he began his presidential campaign after having served in national office for a stunning 143 days, that identity is beginning to be established.
Although Sen. Obama appears to be an articulate, physically appealing, apparently educated man, he has, throughout the campaign, demonstrated that he is little more than a vacuous political functionary best served by following carefully scripted speeches and appearances, a man unable to think on his feet, a man unable to understand the scope of the position he seeks, a man with no demonstrable leadership skills and, given the didacticism of his elitist pronouncements, surprisingly unintelligent.
Consider:
• At a campaign event earlier this year, he said, “Over the last 15 months, we’ve traveled to every corner of the United States. I’ve now been in 57 states? I think one left to go.”
It is true that Sen. Obama may have been tired, and the primary campaign was unquestionably an exhausting process. That could easily account for his unwittingly calling Sioux Falls, during

Fatigue, however, in no way excuses such a basic, and elementary, mistake. • Late in the primary campaign, when Sen. Obama was badly trailing Hillary Clinton in the polls in Kentucky, Sen. Obama simply shrugged it off. “What it says is that I’m not very well known in that part of the country,” Obama alibied. “Sen. Clinton, I think, is much better known, coming from a nearby state of Arkansas. So it’s not surprising that she would have an advantage in some of those states in the middle.”
Apparently, Sen. Obama’s education was woefully lacking in basics. Not only did he not realize the United States comprises just 50 states, his geography skills are sadly lacking as well. To get from Arkansas to Kentucky requires traveling through either Tennessee or Missouri. To get from Kentucky to Illinois, the state in which Obama began his political career, requires nothing more than driving across the state line. Kentucky and Illinois abut.
• When he delivered a Memorial Day address, Sen. Obama, a member of the party which has consistently done its best to sabotage the armed forces of the United States since at least the days of Jimmy Carter, attempted to establish some credibility with the men and women in uniform by saying, “On this Memorial Day, as our nation honors its unbroken line of fallen heroes — and I see many of them in the audience here today — our sense of patriotism is particularly strong.”
Not only, it appears, is Sen. Obama negligent about geography, his understanding of vocabulary is also somewhat limited, as is his understanding of the meaning of America’s day of remembrance.
There are, of course, a myriad of other “misstatements,” among them his assertion that Iran doesn’t “pose a serious threat to us ...” that was quickly changed the following day to “I’ve made it clear for years that the threat from Iran is grave.” Similarly, there are outright prevarications, such as his story about his parents getting involved with each other because of the civil-rights march in Selma, a march that occurred four years after he was born, or about the story and photos in Life magazine that led to his “racial awakening,” a story and photos which never existed.
Sen. Obama makes a great effort to deflect attention away from his impolitic, anti-American associations, associations with the likes of the Rev. Jeremiah Wright, William Ayers and Bernadine Dohrn, Father Michael Pfleger, convicted Chicago businessman Tony Rezko. He similarly makes great effort to deflect attention away from his highly impolitic statements, perhaps the best known of which was his reference to the “bitter clingers” of Pennsylvania who still like their guns and their God.
It is becoming increasingly apparent that Sen. Obama, the product of a corrupt Chicago political machine, is little more than the willing pawn of those who have manipulated his campaign success, a “useful idiot” who has accepted the Marxist, anti-Semitic philosophies espoused by his mentors while he mouths the vacuous promises of hope and change without ever admitting that he dances to the pull of the strings by his unnamed puppetmaster.
