It feels like a good time to write covered calls, Bob. Barring some explosive news, Qualcomm seems to be trading at the upper end of its current range.

But wtfdik? I thought that last month, too, wrote 45s, and got called out. I'm currently waiting for a re-entry point.

I've been doing that for 8 years now. I'll look to do it again next month on a spike. Eventually QCOM is a big winner, the stock has done ok so far and it's a good option vehicle. I write a few calls pretty regularly with the majority of the position uncovered. Still my largest holding.

CrackheadBob,

I've been writing 47.50 calls every month since January. I roll them out a few days before expiration. I took the opportunity this month to roll them up to the AUG 50s. So far I'm up 2.40.

I'm keeping it light, as the stock seems strong this past month, and a solid earnings report might leave me in the dust to pick up the pieces. If I get called, I want to be able to write puts at the same level that I was called at.

I'm looking at writing some 42.50 puts today. (1.04) or some 40s at (.50).
