My goal over the next decade or two is to eventually mentor and tutor kids who grow up in circumstances that I could never dream of breaking out of with my own personality flaws. That to me would make a lot more of a difference than hoping that even an Obama administration will somehow save disadvantaged minorities from themselves. Admirable goal....and btw a very rewarding one at that. As for Obama, the message is that we have to help ourselves and not that he will save us. People read into that message what they want but the truth is Americans as a whole are the only ones who can turn this country around.
