Once the public realizes that their retirement plans and mutual funds are underperforming because of breaks given to the industry, and they see the huge salaries and fees given to hedgie managers, we can be assured that these issues will not go away.

Sounds like this is going to be just the case as of Monday..

We're already hearing quite a bit about it in advance of the SEC emergency rule going into effect next week.

Rufff, anyone who takes the time to go back and read this thread from 2005 on will realize from the dialogs, and the poster participation, that you've been a dedicated servant of investor interests.

In these times that is rare because such a large % of SI active ID's are on the other side of everything this thread is about. You have done a superb job of managing this thread as an archive, not letting it degrade into a spam fest that individual stock discussion would make it.

Many of us believe that individual investors are the target of all that trading hates, and we are going to be vindicated over time. As Awareness grows and the knowledge accruing is transferred, larger participation will follow.

Thanks for all you've done and are doing to preserve the integrity of this market we all love.

Too often systemic action subverts the system that pays it. Evidence is everywhere, the market haters swarm over the carcases of destroyed investors like in a victory dance, but in doing so they betray themselves and thier ignorance.

Folks dont really realize how easy it would be to rewrite the script, and how redundant some of the present major players really are. The opportunistic efforts to work against the very customers they need to survive, belie any confidence we should afford them..

When system creep, becomes the prevailing activity for the market, that is subversion, and it needs to be eliminated.

Rufff stay the course, the awakening will vindicate all your efforts.
