Ted, > Pretty soon it became a apparent that the conservative had a different approach to the problem than the other three

What did the other three propose?

Bet it was the same as the current Dem mantra ...

Pretty soon it became a apparent that the conservative had a different approach to the problem than the other three; that is the current GOP mantra.......drill, drill, drill our way out of the problem.

I don't know of any conservative who is advocating "drill, drill, drill" as a way out of the problem.

Bush and McCain, for example, have both put forth drilling as essential to address the short-term crisis. And they are, of course, correct. But both, particularly McCain, have talked about the need for a well-rounded, coherent approach to it -- which includes electric powered vehicles (and McCain has put forth the idea of incentives in this area).

McCain has the more reasonable energy policy of the two candidates. Obama really has NO policy -- essentially, he would do nothing, other than breaking the oil companies -- which doesn't contribute in any way to solving the problem.

I would have thought Obama would have presented a cogent energy policy by now but it is MIA. Just isn't there. The pie-in-the-sky bullshit on his website is utter nonsense and fails to give any consideration, AT ALL, to the fact that people are suffering NOW.
