Offshore drilling rigs are some of the biggest structures on earth. "Months" is a REAL stretch!

And its not like they are sitting around with their fingers in their noses waiting for David Ray to submit an order. There is a backlog of orders...big time.

Another idiotic post.

Building large offshore drilling rigs is NOTHING compared with the task of building B29s, fighter planes in quantity, or two nuclear weapons or aircraft carriers.

Now it is true that it currently takes a few years (depending on rig type, 2.5-4) to build a huge offshore rig, if we committed ourselves to it in the way that we committed ourselves to WWII, as I suggested, this could EASILY be reduced to months.

There is precedent for this kind of ramp up.
