This could be one of those unexpected events that forever changes the way the world perceives an issue. Iraq's Prime Minister agrees with Obama, and there's no wiggle room or fudge factor. I don't know why it would change a thing; haven't we known forever that everyone in the ME supports Obama? Obama better represents THEIR interests than he does ours. Which was the point of my earlier post. He represents American interests other than yours. The American neos are a subset in this country who are represented only by their own. You all have a right to exist but as a minority you don't have a right to rule. You got into power over an unusual confluence of events. That time is over. This should come a surprise to nobody. Bush is in the process of negotiating with Maliki, and Obama waltzes in and says, "Hey, you don't have to negotiate with me. I'll just give you what you want. No haggling necessary". There won't be any haggling because Obama and Maliki are on the same page.....which is a good thing for both Iraq and America. No surprise here at all. Let me add this -- I have no doubt that the leadership of Iran, Syria, NK, Afghanistan, Pakistan, and any number of other countries will embrace Obama's positions, as well. You think that is a GOOD thing? With Syria and Iran.....yes. Afghanistan and Pakistan already have been embraced by Bush. NK is an island unto its own.
