McBush-Cheney have been 100% wrong since day one about Iraq. The only thing "artificial" is the rightwing's spin as Maliki endorses Obama's plan and we prepare to get the hell out of that mess. I might add that probably 80% of our country supports Obama on this. Only the ignorant or the dishonest WWIII war mongers disagree. The real war on terror was always in Afghanistan and on the streets requiring law enforcement and intelligence, not military invasions and mechanized combat operations. That was always like trying to hunt rodents with bulldozers. Bush's entire "war on terror" was a costly fraud and must end ASAP.
