The genocide in Iraq was completed awhile back. The neighborhoods are already "ethnically cleansed". The reason the killing went down was that there was no one left to kill. Plus massive US bribes to the Sunni warlords to cool it and help us. Those massive bribes of OUR MONEY are going on as we speak.

There are actually three-four violent struggles going on within Iraq, all of which Bush-Cheney's reckless intervention created or let out of the box. The fact that some of it has subsided is not victory it's just a golden chance to leave that hellhole while we can. Also Bushie oil gouging has made Iraq very rich so now they can pay for their own security.

But make no mistake, Bush-Cheney have also made Iran much stronger as the Shia in Iraq are natural allies. That is the one "good" thing Saddam did, holding the Shia radicals down. El Sadr wants us out and so does Maliki, and it is the El Sadr's who will inherit power and oil wealth. Which means we have failed from a strategic point of view by putting more wealth and power in the hands of Islamic radicals.
