Unfortunately, UK law definitely defines a spud gun as a firearm. No doubt about it. Very probable major jail time if prosecuted and a criminal record.

Silly I know, wayward teenagers will see if you are going to get jailed, why not get a real firearm so it can be concealed?

The UK spud gun is still in it's infancy...

... but growing fast. As soon as stories get into the Sun and the Mirror tabloids, I expect it will spread like wildfire.

It's something I have been a close observer of since I came back to the UK in 1995 (read an article about spud gunning back then on the flight back from USA). It's not something I would get involved in, the criminal record would prevent me from going back to the USA, where all my real guns are -g-

I just know for a fact, as a teenage kid, I would have definitely tried it out, no matter what. Now, I'm just like the old guy in the blue house, and shouts at wayward teenagers who misbehave. I comes down to envy I think. -ggg-
